Compensation & Benefits

Job Description: Retail Supervisor Leader
The Retail Supervisor Leader will work closely with the Club Manager and Assistant Club Manager in providing leadership and direction within the club. Key responsibilities include driving club performance by maintaining policies and procedures, delivering a positive service experience to Members, and providing leadership and direction. As a key holder for the club, the manager is responsible for functioning as the Manager on Duty (MOD) as assigned.
Leadership Responsibilities
- Know Your Business: Acquire a deep knowledge of key metrics and reporting for total club and department performance.
- Drive Performance: Drive performance and profitability by using reporting to identify trends and areas of opportunity.
- Communicate Effectively: Communicate a simple message to your team on the connection between consistent operational performance and achieving club financial targets.
- Build High-Performing Teams: Create a culture of collaboration by providing honest and timely direction, follow-up, and feedback that drive business results and support team member engagement.
Team Member and Member Expectations
- Teach, Coach, and Lead: Teach, coach, and lead through the club-level training process to ensure team members are empowered to deliver exceptional service.
- Guarantee Service Excellence: Guarantee service excellence through all points of contact by setting service standard expectations for all team members and providing team support and empowerment to resolve every member concern.
Club Standards
- Define and Model GOLD Standards: Define and model GOLD standards daily to maintain a Grand Opening Look, ensuring all items are stocked and promotional plans are executed.
Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities
- Lead the Team: Effectively lead the team by managing with vision and purpose, clearly communicating, and giving direction, while validating results.
- Maintain Deep Knowledge: Maintain deep knowledge of club policies and procedures across all areas of the club.
- Provide Leadership and Direction: Provide leadership and direction, and manage day-to-day operations of Fresh, Front of House Departments, overall merchandising, signage, recovery, and receiving within the club.
Qualifications and Skills
- Previous Retail Experience: Previous retail experience in a retail store, supermarket, or warehouse required.
- Strong Drive for Results: A strong drive for results and solid work ethic is required.
- Excellent Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills required, including the ability to lead and motivate a large team.
Environmental Job Conditions
- Frequent Movement: Most of the time is spent moving about frequently on hard surfaces.
- Lifting Objects: Frequently requires lifting objects up to 30 pounds, with occasional exposure to temperature extremes and loud noises.
