Key Responsibilities
- Scout and select artists for the Candlelight Series, with a particular emphasis on Jazz musicians.
- Assist in the curation and management of a diverse range of music programs.
- Draft talking points for musicians to present during concerts globally.
- Maintain comprehensive databases of artists, programs, and more using tools like Airtable and Google Sheets.
- Collaborate with a team to propose and finalize concerts featuring classical and jazz artists.
- Partner with the FeverUp marketing team to ensure our new music initiatives achieve success in ticket sales and quality.
- Identify and negotiate costs for music arrangements.
- Oversee auditions to discover top talent.
- Evaluate and provide feedback on arrangements for piano, string quartets, and/or jazz ensembles.
- Candidates must be currently enrolled in a college or master's program and available to work part-time.
- 1 to 2 years of experience in music curation is preferred.
- A strong background in jazz is essential; knowledge of classical music and other genres is advantageous.
- Proficient sheet music reading skills are required.
- Solid understanding of the music industry and cultural trends.
- Team-oriented with a strong work ethic and a friendly demeanor.
- Exceptional verbal communication and organizational abilities; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
- Ability to analyze and respond to data effectively.
- Meticulous attention to detail, including strong grammar and spelling skills.
- Proactive mindset with a capacity to adapt to change.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams across different regions.
- Background in music programming or the music industry is a plus.
- Skills in arranging and familiarity with Sibelius or Finale are beneficial.
