About the PositionTacoma Community College is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Cybersecurity Professor to join our team on a part-time basis. As a Cybersecurity Professor, you will be responsible for teaching courses in the Cybersecurity & Networking Technology program, developing and maintaining program and course curriculum, and collaborating with program and department team members to expand learning opportunities.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and teach courses within the Cybersecurity & Networking program, including motivating students, developing curriculum, and collaborating with team members.
- Develop and maintain program and course curriculum, ensuring alignment with industry standards and best practices.
- Collaborate with program and department team members to expand learning opportunities, improve student outcomes, and enhance the overall quality of the program.
- Bachelor's degree in business or a related field from an accredited college or university.
- Three years or more of experience providing technical support in a business environment.
- One or more IT industry certifications, such as COMPTIA A+, Network+, CCNA, etc.
- Experience teaching at a community college.
- Experience using online classroom platforms, such as Canvas, Angel, Blackboard, etc., as a classroom support and learning tool.
- Successfully complete a criminal history background check prior to employment.
- Professional and courteous interactions with students, faculty, and staff.
- Strong skills in developing effective team dynamics and participating in teams.
