Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our team at Soliant, located in the vicinity of Union, ME. This role presents a unique opportunity for a passionate SLPA to contribute significantly to the field of speech-language pathology and positively influence the lives of students with communication disorders.

About the Role:

This position involves assisting licensed Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of students with communication and swallowing disorders. The successful candidate will play a crucial part in supporting the development and execution of treatment plans, delivering therapy services, and closely monitoring client progress.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct assessments, supervised by licensed SLPs, to identify speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders.
  • Create individualized treatment plans based on assessment results, client goals, and SLP guidance.
  • Deliver therapeutic interventions as directed by licensed SLPs, encompassing speech and language therapy, voice therapy, fluency therapy, and swallowing therapy.
  • Apply various tools and techniques to enhance communication skills, improve speech articulation, and develop language comprehension and expression.
  • Collaborate with families, caregivers, and other professionals to provide support and education on communication disorders.
  • Monitor student progress, document treatment outcomes, and report findings to licensed SLPs.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or a related field.
  • Valid and active state certification as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant.
  • Previous experience working as an SLPA or in a related role is preferred.
  • Knowledge of assessment tools and therapeutic techniques used in speech-language pathology.
  • Ability to work under the supervision of licensed SLPs and collaborate effectively within a team.
Estimated Salary:

$60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience.
