Job Summary

Rochelle Community Hospital is seeking a skilled and compassionate Nurse Coordinator or Medical Assistant - Clinic to join our team in Convenient Care. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and support to our patients and families.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and deliver quality patient care management under the supervision of the Outpatient Services Manager.
  • Perform nursing functions utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Ensure compliance with Joint Commission standards, CMS, OSHA, IDPH, and scope of practice.
  • Assist with specimen collections, transports, and CLIA-Waived testing as needed.
  • Administer immunizations, injectable medications, oral medications, or topical medications as ordered by the Physician or APN.
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to professional standards, policies, and procedures.
Requirements
  • Graduate of a state-approved School of Nursing.
  • Current Illinois license or certificate.
  • Current BLS certification. ACLS and PALS preferred.
  • Must show competency of skills designated by the Manager of Outpatient Services.
  • Ability to operate designated computer equipment and clinic instruments.
Work Environment

The work environment is fast-paced and requires direct patient contact with potential exposure to blood and body fluids. The ability to perform CPR is a strenuous activity. The Clinic Nurse or Medical Assistant will work in a patient care setting and must be able to lift up to 35 pounds.
