Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Automotive General Service Technician to join our team at AAA Northern California, Nevada & Utah. As a key member of our service team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks, including oil changes, tire repairs, and minor repairs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform oil changes and lubrication services for member and non-member vehicles.
  • Conduct tire repairs and installation services for member and non-member vehicles.
  • Perform other minor repairs as assigned by Lead Tech or Service Advisor, according to their abilities.
  • Test drive vehicles when practical for any/all performance or drivability concerns before performing work.
  • Clean spills and debris immediately to reduce hazards.
  • Maintain company-provided equipment and machinery.
  • Report all unsafe conditions to supervisor, including but not limited to lifts, overhead doors, and equipment.
  • Attend all required training, seek additional training to maintain and increase effectiveness.
  • Verify as soon as practicable that parts ordered for the vehicle assigned to them are correct.
  • Perform all repairs according to MAP (Motorist Assurance Program), OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturers) or accepted industry standard.
  • Perform digital inspection and document to their full potential.
  • Communicate effectively as necessary with manager, service advisors, and other technicians to contribute to the overall performance of the location.
Requirements
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills in the language(s) required for the role, as justified for business necessity.
  • Math and computer skills with experience using software applications, including word processing, spreadsheets, browsers, and email.
  • Member service focus.
  • Automotive/mechanical background.
  • Knowledge of equipment/tool operation and diagnostic/repair procedures.
  • Six months experience in general repair, lube services, and/or tire shop.
Working Conditions

This role may require travel to different locations on an as-needed basis.
