Position Overview:
Tact Staff is actively seeking a travel nurse RN specializing in Labor and Delivery for an exciting opportunity.

Job Specifications:
Specialty: Labor and Delivery
Discipline: RN
Duration: 13 weeks
Hours: 36 hours per week
Shift: 12 hours
Employment Type: Travel

Required Certifications:
BLS (Basic Life Support) - First-time travelers are welcome to apply.

Department Information:
Our facility features 10 labor rooms, 2 operating rooms, and 3 triage beds. On-call duties may be required as necessary, with no floating between departments.

Patient Care:
Our Labor and Delivery unit manages approximately 100 births monthly, with an average of 23% cesarean sections. We cater to high-risk labor patients, and our Certified Surgical Technologists assist in both labor rooms and operating rooms during cesarean procedures. We also provide triage services for outpatient pregnant patients.

Essential Skills:
- Sterilization techniques
- Case cart management
- Aseptic practices
- Experience with C-sections
- Dilation & curettage
- Vaginal deliveries

Equipment Proficiency:
- Suction devices
- Cautery instruments
- D&C machines

Additional Qualifications:
Candidates should possess strong computer skills, exceptional customer service abilities, and the capacity to collaborate effectively with nursing staff and physicians. Responsibilities include assisting in labor room setups, handling specimens, and interfacing with laboratory and other departments.

Travel Requirements:
Applicants must reside at least 100 miles from the facility to qualify for this position.
