Parkrose Estates is a leading provider of exceptional senior living experiences. We are seeking a highly skilled Culinary Specialist to join our team. The estimated salary for this position is $17.00 - $18.00/hour.
Job Summary:The primary responsibility of the Culinary Specialist is to provide wholesome, nutritious, and attractive food that is served at the appropriate temperature. This role reports to the Dining Services Director.
Key Responsibilities:- Food Preparation: Prepare and serve all food items using high quality ingredients and appropriate garnishes.
- Recipe Management: Use recipes and correct portion sizes to provide a consistent product while controlling costs.
- Temperature Control: Record and monitor food temperatures during storage, preparation, cooking, and serving.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in culinary arts or related field preferred.
- Minimum two years cooking experience preferably within the healthcare or hospitality field.
- Serv-Safe Certification preferred.
