Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our NICU team at Community Memorial Healthcare. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality respiratory care to neonatal patients in our NICU, nursery, labor and delivery, emergency room, surgery, and on transport.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide all aspects of respiratory care to neonatal patients, including ventilation, oxygen therapy, and airway management.
  • Act as a Charge RCP when a RCP IV is not available.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized respiratory care plans.
  • Conduct routine assessments and evaluations of patients' respiratory status.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an AMA-approved school of respiratory therapy and registered (RRT) by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC).
  • Completion of CMH NICU Training Program or two years documented advance practice clinical experience in NICU, Labor and delivery, competency in neonatal intubation.
  • Current RCP license issued by the State of California Respiratory Care Board.
  • Must be Registered (RRT) by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC).
  • Must have current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare providers.
  • Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
  • Current Pediatric Advance Life Support (PALS)
