Position Overview:


QinetiQ US is on the lookout for a skilled Access Control/Security Specialist to become part of our expanding team. The ideal candidate will be tasked with ensuring the safety and security of government assets while monitoring situations as they develop.

This role supports a critical program that utilizes aerostat systems to deliver continuous surveillance and detection capabilities to the U.S. Government across multiple operational sites.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct patrols in designated areas to prevent unauthorized access, safeguard government property, and fulfill entry control duties.

2. Exercise sound judgment and discretion when addressing emergencies and security breaches.

3. Assess whether to intervene directly, maintain surveillance, or report incidents for appropriate handling.

4. Participate in basic aerostat operations, including but not limited to launching, recovering, and maintaining aerostat systems.

5. Utilize personal computers, printers, and other standard office equipment.

6. Operate company vehicles while adhering to all operational and safety protocols, as well as applicable state regulations.

7. Perform duties in both indoor and outdoor environments, occasionally in adverse weather conditions.

This is an unarmed position.

Additional Duties:
1. Winch Operator / Close Haul Line Handler / T&C Operator.


2. Maintain and comprehend site documentation, including parts requests, equipment condition tags, timecards, and maintenance logs.

Support all security, logistics, and site-specific requirements as directed when not conflicting with primary responsibilities.

Required Qualifications:
1. U.S. Citizenship; must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust security clearance.

2. Successfully pass any required background checks and/or drug screenings.

3. High School Diploma or GED with at least 1 year of relevant experience.

4. A valid U.S. Driver's License.

5. Proficient in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English.

6. Ability to work shifts.


7. Physical requirements include walking, standing, bending, twisting, crawling, reaching, lifting, sitting, and squatting.

Work may involve extended periods of standing, sitting, or working in confined spaces or at elevated heights.


Preferred Qualifications:
1. Proven efficiency with personal computers, printers, and other standard office equipment.

2. Enjoy working in both indoor and outdoor environments, even in challenging weather conditions.
