About the Department:

The Student Accounts Office is dedicated to providing professional, efficient, and effective services related to payments, deposits, and receivable collections for students, parents, faculty, and staff. The department maintains robust internal controls to ensure that all financial transactions are processed accurately and that proper records are upheld.

About the Position:

The Financial Operations and Cash Management Supervisor is responsible for leading the team in implementing policies, enhancing service quality, and ensuring fiscal accountability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership: Direct the Cashiering and Account Loan Management teams to provide exceptional service; ensure staff are knowledgeable and committed to excellence; manage performance, training, and adherence to established policies.
  • Compliance and Financial Controls: Safeguard financial integrity in cashiering, deposits, and loan programs; work to minimize costs associated with defaulted accounts; monitor operations for effectiveness and compliance.
  • Monthly Clearing Account Reconciliations: Assist with research related to account reconciliations; ensure deadlines for reconciliations are met.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other related tasks as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent;
  • Proven supervisory experience;
  • Knowledge of financial management principles;
  • Strong communication skills;
  • Experience with account reconciliation;
  • Ability to prepare reports and documentation;
  • Supervisory experience in delegating work, conducting evaluations, and facilitating staff training and development;
  • Willingness to work during University Holiday leave.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field;
  • Supervisory experience in finance or accounting;
  • Familiarity with the higher education landscape;
  • Knowledge of collection laws and strategies;
  • Ability to manage challenging conversations effectively.
