Job Summary:

The Village of Lincolnwood is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Police Officer to join our team. As a Lateral Police Officer, you will be responsible for maintaining law and order, enforcing laws and regulations, and providing exceptional service to our community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Enforce laws and regulations to maintain public safety and order
• Respond to emergency calls and provide assistance as needed
• Conduct investigations and gather evidence to solve crimes
• Collaborate with other law enforcement agencies to share intelligence and best practices
• Provide exceptional customer service to the public and respond to their concerns

Requirements:

• Current certification from the Illinois Law Enforcement Training and Standards Board
• At least 60 semester hours of credit from a college or university accredited by one of the six regional accrediting bodies
• Four years of continuous active duty in the armed forces of the United States
• Pass a background investigation, polygraph, psychological, physical agility examination, and medical examination
