Position Overview
As a key member of the plant operations team, the Senior Process Engineer will engage with various stakeholders including technical personnel, business units, corporate technology, and engineering consultants to deliver comprehensive process engineering support.

Core Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will be hands-on and data-driven, fostering collaboration with operators, maintenance teams, and scheduling departments across multiple disciplines.

The Senior Process Engineer will also undertake training to achieve Lean Six Sigma Greenbelt certification, championing Lean Six Sigma methodologies within the operational framework.

Key Duties Include:
- Actively collaborating with operators on the plant floor to identify opportunities for optimization and troubleshooting.
- Facilitating new product development through coordination of production trials and problem-solving.
- Maintaining and updating the Distributed Control System (DCS) and data collection systems, including SAP and other databases.
- Standardizing operational conditions to minimize variability in processes and measurements.
- Applying Lean/Six Sigma strategies to enhance process efficiency and project outcomes.
- Managing the Management of Change (MOC) process to ensure proper documentation and control of process modifications.
- Leading initiatives aimed at reducing production costs.

Compliance and Project Leadership
The Senior Process Engineer will ensure plant adherence to safety and environmental regulations, including OSHA, PSM, and RMP, alongside other corporate policies.

Additionally, the role involves leading and contributing to both capital and non-capital improvement projects at the site, demonstrating effective project management skills and adherence to the Stage-Gate process.

Quality Assurance
In this position, the engineer will guide and participate in quality and process investigations, including root cause analysis, and will implement enhancements in the quality control processes.

Qualifications
A Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering is required, along with a minimum of 6 years of experience in a manufacturing setting, preferably within the chemical industry. Experience in process safety and high-hazard environments is also preferred.
