Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate production and procurement processes to ensure timely delivery of parts.
  • Prepare production plans and schedules using manufacturing information systems.
  • Manage purchasing and inventory control, including issuing work orders and reviewing POs.
  • Monitor procurement costs and part availability, negotiating with suppliers as needed.
  • Review open POs with the Vice President of Operations and follow up with suppliers on delivery status.
  • Update schedules and inform the Vice President of Operations of any late shipments.
  • Lead end-of-life part management and risk reduction through collaboration with vendors and the in-house engineering team.
  • Issue DMRs and participate in the Materials Review Board.
  • Select new suppliers, maintain the approved supplier list, and manage supplier surveys.
  • Review old POs and jobs periodically to ensure data accuracy.
  • Build routings for new or changed products and roll standard costs.
  • Manage production team cycle counts and make inventory adjustments as needed.
  • Maintain supplier performance KPIs.
  • Coordinate the annual physical inventory and facilitate company-wide efforts.
  • Submit RFQs and assist with part conformance issues.
  • Initiate supplies purchase part forms and review documents for new inventory parts.
