Role Summary:

We are seeking a Chief Estimator to enhance our esteemed estimating team at our headquarters. This prominent position offers significant growth potential and requires collaboration with senior management to create detailed construction cost estimates for lump sum General Contract and Design/Build projects.

Our portfolio includes:

  • Renovations and new constructions of water and wastewater treatment facilities.
  • Pumping stations.
  • Storage reservoirs and retention basins.
  • Water transmission systems.
  • Wastewater conveyance networks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate comprehensive cost estimates for civil/site work, including Structural Concrete, Excavation and Grading, Structural/Selective Demolition, and Site Utilities.
  • Develop work scopes and gather subcontractor pricing for additional civil/site and architectural tasks required for our projects.
  • Collaborate with senior management to evaluate project specifications, identify risks, and devise cost-effective strategies.
  • Utilize computer-based estimating tools and software to improve accuracy and efficiency.
  • Familiarity with HCSS Heavy Bid and Primavera P6 software is advantageous.


Candidate Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience in construction cost estimating, particularly in the water and wastewater infrastructure domain.
  • Strong proficiency in computer-based estimating techniques is essential.
  • Experience with HCSS Heavy Bid and Primavera P6 is preferred.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with team members and external stakeholders.
