Prime Healthcare is seeking a dedicated and compassionate professional to join our esteemed team at East Liverpool City Hospital. Our organization is committed to delivering exceptional healthcare services while upholding our core values of quality, compassion, and community involvement.
East Liverpool City Hospital has been a pillar of healthcare in the tristate area since 1905, featuring 152 licensed beds and a workforce of over 500 employees. The hospital experiences approximately 31,000 Emergency Department visits each year and is supported by a medical staff of more than 160 physicians, alongside 21 resident physicians specializing in Family Medicine and Internal Medicine. We offer comprehensive services including 24/7 emergency care, general surgery, medical stabilization for substance abuse, and specialized behavioral health services for adults aged 55 and older. Notably, we provide the only cardiac rehabilitation program in Columbiana County.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide clinical oversight and mentorship to Associate Social Workers (ASWs) and Marriage and Family Therapy Interns (MFTIs).
- Assist the Director in enhancing quality assurance and developing social service programs.
- Deliver emotional support, crisis intervention, and counseling services, along with information and referrals for financial assistance and supportive services to patients and families facing challenges related to hospitalization, illness, disability, or trauma.
- Conduct psychosocial assessments and collaborate effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Ensure accurate documentation and maintain clinical records for all social service consultations throughout the patient's stay.
- Serve as a resource to various departments within the hospital, including the Emergency Department.
Qualifications:
- Ph.D. or Psy.D. in a relevant field, or a Master's Degree in Social Work or a related discipline.
- Master's Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field is also acceptable.
- Possession of a current state license upon hire, with maintenance of an active LISW/LCSW license.
- Completion of requirements to provide supervision to ASWs or MFTIs, in accordance with State Regulatory Board standards.
- Current Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification (AHA) upon hire, with ongoing maintenance.
- Behavioral Violence Prevention Training to be completed within three months of hire and maintained thereafter.
- A minimum of one year of experience in a hospital or outpatient setting, with a focus on mental health care.
- Experience working with diverse populations and addressing a wide range of issues, including but not limited to death and dying, maternal and child care, substance abuse, and chronic illness.
