Youth Peer Support Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Youth Peer Support Partner to join our team at MaineHealth. As a Youth Peer Support Partner, you will provide one-on-one support to individuals in the community, helping them to develop positive strategies for managing their mental health and building strong support networks.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain authentic relationships with individuals in service, creating a safe and secure space for open discussion and growth.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement training materials and education programs.
- Facilitate groups and activities that promote healthy relationships and community engagement.
- Participate in outreach and engagement activities to connect with individuals in need of support.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Completion of relevant training or certification, such as the Certified Intentional Peer Support Specialist (CIPSS) program.
- Valid driving license and reliable transportation.
- Experience in peer support or a related field, with a focus on one-on-one and group facilitation.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends as needed.
