Job Title: School Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team in a supportive school district committed to fostering a positive learning environment for all students.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations to identify students' needs and develop individualized education plans (IEPs).
  • Provide direct therapy services to students with speech and language disorders, utilizing evidence-based practices and techniques.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and therapy sessions, including progress monitoring and goal setting.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal setting and progress monitoring, ensuring that students receive the support they need to succeed.
  • Provide consultation and training to school staff and families as needed, promoting a culture of inclusivity and support.
Qualifications:
  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Valid Illinois state SLP license (or ability to obtain one).
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA preferred.
  • Previous experience in a school setting is highly desirable, with a strong understanding of educational policies and procedures.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
