CH-53K Developmental Test Pilot
KBR is in search of a CH-53K Developmental Test Pilot to enhance our esteemed team.
As a member of KBR, you will be integrated into the largest independent flight testing organization, providing vital support to both governmental and commercial sectors. You will collaborate with a highly skilled and seasoned aircrew services team that has a rich history of over 40 years in aircrew project support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the HX-21 Developmental Test and Evaluation at the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division.
- Execute the duties of a CH-53K developmental test pilot and project officer.
- Assist in various NAWCAD test and evaluation activities, including test planning, development of test plans, event coordination, and execution of flight tests.
- Engage in post-event analysis, reporting on test outcomes, and documenting any deficiencies.
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
- Completion of a full-length rotary wing pilot training program from an accredited test pilot school is mandatory.
- A minimum of ten (10) years of relevant experience.
- At least three (3) years of experience in rotary wing research, development, test, and evaluation (RDT&E) flight operations is required.
- 1,500 total flight hours with 1,000 hours as pilot-in-command in rotary wing aircraft is essential.
- Preferred qualifications include a minimum of 2,000 flight hours and current or previous qualification in the H-53 aircraft.
- Current qualifications and recent experience with rotary wing test and evaluation techniques are advantageous.
- Must meet physical and training qualifications for contract aircrew support, including Navy water survival and aviation physiology training.
- Willingness to travel extensively is necessary for this role.
- A current Secret Clearance or the ability to obtain one is required, along with the capability to achieve and maintain a Top-Secret security clearance.
- Selected candidates may undergo a government security investigation and must meet eligibility criteria for access to classified information.
- Recent flying status is preferred.
Note: Contractual requirements regarding education and experience will take precedence.
