Job Overview

Opportunity for Transitioning Professionals

This role is pivotal in enhancing the construction workflow through the effective application of software and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Utilizes BIM Technology to streamline the construction coordination process by integrating design team models.
  • Conducts preliminary design assessments and feasibility studies.
  • Creates, evaluates, and verifies 3D models based on layout sketches.
  • Facilitates ongoing coordination discussions with project leaders, subcontractors, and the entire project team, offering guidance and solutions to key challenges.
  • Oversees and revises Building Information Modeling project documentation, including shop drawings.
  • Executes clash detection and resolution using software to ensure systems are constructible without on-site complications.
  • Maintains oversight of the coordination process until project sign-off.
  • Ensures proficiency in detailed fabrication drawings.
  • May assist in Project Management tasks related to design aspects as necessary.
  • Travels to job sites as required for quality assurance and documentation.
  • Occasionally supports Business Development and Marketing with Virtual Concepts for presentations and proposals.
  • May undertake additional responsibilities as assigned by management.
  • Assists with the review, coordination, and closure of project submissions as needed.
Supervisory Role:

This position does not entail supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications:

A minimum of an Associate's degree or equivalent from a technical institution is required; or six months to one year of relevant experience or training; or a suitable combination of education and experience. A high school diploma or GED is mandatory.

Preferred coursework in Construction, Mechanical Engineering, or Architecture, or a comparable blend of training and experience.

Proficiency in BIM and experience with Construction Technology is essential.

Language Proficiency:

The ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical documents, specifications, and product data is required. Strong writing skills for reports and correspondence are necessary, along with the capability to effectively present information to various stakeholders.

Mathematical Competence:

Ability to engage with mathematical concepts such as probability, statistical inference, and geometry is necessary. Skills in applying fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to real-world scenarios are required.

Reasoning Skills:

Must possess the ability to address practical problems and manage diverse variables in situations with limited standardization. Capability to interpret various forms of instructions is essential.

Certifications:

No certifications are required at the time of hire, but ongoing certification will be necessary during employment.

Licensing:

A valid driver's license is required for travel between job sites.

Continuing Education:

A minimum number of continuing education hours per year is required, achievable through seminars, conferences, or training.
