Position Overview:
As a key member of the healthcare team, the Respiratory Therapist is responsible for delivering comprehensive respiratory care services. This includes conducting EKGs, performing infant hearing screenings, and executing arterial punctures and capillary blood gas collections. The role also involves supporting nursing staff through respiratory-related training programs.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Administer all facets of respiratory therapy to patients.
2. Conduct EKGs and infant hearing assessments.
3. Perform arterial punctures and capillary blood gas analysis.
4. Assist in respiratory education for nursing personnel.
5. Potential involvement in Pulmonary Function Tests, Pulmonary Stress Tests, EEGs, and/or Nerve Conduction Velocity tests.
6. Participate in Cardiac and/or Pulmonary Rehabilitation initiatives.

State License Requirements: Upon Acceptance
Minimum Guaranteed Hours: 36
Sub Specialty Focus: Respiratory Therapy
General Certifications Required: BLS/BCLS
