Oncology Nocturnist Hospitalist Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Nocturnist Oncologist to join our team at Duke Health. The successful candidate will provide clinical care for adult oncology patients admitted during the overnight shift at Duke University Hospital.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess, evaluate, and manage patient care, including pain and symptom management, care planning, and medication recommendations.
  • Engage in direct patient care activities, including assessment, evaluation, and care planning.
  • Communicate effectively with primary oncology teams, patient family members, and friends to ensure effective care plans.
  • Participate in day-to-day patient contact, rounding, and care management, actively encouraging input from interdisciplinary teams.
  • Accurately document patient records and ensure compliance with regulatory, licensure, and accreditation requirements.
