Physical Therapist Assistant PTA Position Summary

EPIC Rehabilitation and Nursing at White Plains is a state-of-the-art skilled nursing rehabilitation center dedicated to providing exceptional care to our residents. We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant PTA to join our team.

Job Summary

The Physical Therapist Assistant PTA will work under the supervision of the Physical Therapist to plan, organize, and conduct physical therapy programs to facilitate the rehabilitation of residents who have experienced a decrease in functions. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the planning, development, and implementation of physical therapy services to ensure the highest degree of quality resident care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform treatment programs for assigned residents
  • Enter billing information in an accurate and timely manner
  • Report resident progress in meetings as deemed required or appropriate
  • Consult with other members of the rehabilitation team to coordinate physical therapy with other therapeutic activities
  • Provide residents with equipment as appropriate
  • Chart notes in an informative and descriptive manner that reflects the therapy provided to the residents as well as their response to the therapy
  • Perform routine documentation as required and in accordance with our established charting and documentation policies and procedures
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Physical Therapy Assistant PTA
  • Licensed in NY State as a Physical Therapist Assistant PTA license in good standing
  • Previous skilled nursing facility SNF experience highly preferred
  • Work well under pressure willing to work harmoniously with all staff
  • Sincere desire to work with the elderly chronically ill and handicapped
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Must be able to communicate well verbally with residents families and staff
  • Treat residents and fellow staff with respect dignity and compassion
