APP Hospitalist

Job Summary

As an APP Hospitalist at the University of Vermont Health Network, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality, patient-centered care to adult inpatients with a variety of illnesses. This inpatient medicine-based practice allows you to work autonomously, collaborating with a Hospital Medicine physician to deliver comprehensive care.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive history and physical exams to diagnose and treat adult inpatients
Provide diagnostic and therapeutic care, including ordering tests and procedures as needed
Develop and implement treatment plans, working collaboratively with the interdisciplinary inpatient team
Manage patient transitions, including admissions, transfers, and discharges
Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care

Requirements

Board certification or eligibility as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
Minimum 2 years of experience in direct patient care
Ability to work autonomously, with support from a Hospital Medicine physician
