Event Security Specialist

As a Security Guard, you will be assigned to the Security Department and report to part-time Event Security supervisors who report to the Assistant Managers.
Your duties will include performing tasks assigned as related to the event in regards to the overall security, safety of the employees, guests, and clients.
You will provide guest assistance during the event, monitor perimeter doors to ensure no unauthorized access is gained to the event, and maintain a clear and safe passage route in and around floor level accessible seating areas.
Additionally, you will assist guests in the event of an emergency evacuation, operate walk-through and/or handheld metal detector units, and prepare appropriate reports and forms as required by department policy.
Key responsibilities include ensuring that housekeeping, safety, alcohol control, and security issues comply with department policies, performing special projects as needed or requested, and having a general knowledge of the security industry, specifically in the crowd management areas of public events.
Requirements include being able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, being willing to work flexible hours, nights, weekends, and holidays when required, and being willing to rotate to various positions within a shift as needed.
Job requirements include frequent standing, climbing, walking, reaching, handling, speaking, hearing, and visually checking security work assignments in progress and those that have been completed.
