Key responsibilities include managing vendor relationships, controlling costs, ensuring regulatory compliance, and conducting preventive maintenance and inspections of the fleet of barges. Safety is the primary focus in all functions and responsibilities.


Essential Duties:
  • Monitor and evaluate all barge operations, providing on-site supervision.
  • Develop specifications for repairs, direct work lists, and track progress.
  • Prepare requisitions and reconcile invoices.
  • Budget and assess all maintenance and repair expenditures.
  • Collaborate with vendors, surveyors, regulatory bodies, and clients.
  • Conduct Condition Surveys to assess equipment status.
  • Propose improvements and cost-saving measures for equipment.
  • Coordinate with Transportation Services to fulfill commercial obligations.
  • Ensure continuous regulatory compliance for all assigned equipment.
  • Maintain and update barge maintenance records.
  • Provide hands-on maintenance support as needed.
  • Serve as the on-call representative for Barge Maintenance on a rotating basis.
  • Adhere to the Business Philosophy and Code of Conduct of the company.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
