Position Overview:
We are on the lookout for enthusiastic and talented individuals to join our team as Baristas. The ideal candidates will have a profound love for coffee, craft beverages, and outstanding customer service abilities.

From crafting the ideal espresso to concocting a signature cocktail, baristas at Jam are vital representatives of our brand and play a crucial role in fostering a warm and inviting environment for our guests.


Responsibilities:

  • Expertly prepare and serve a variety of espresso-based drinks and both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, ensuring precision and attention to detail.
  • Greet guests with warmth, engage them in a friendly and professional manner, and provide attentive service throughout their visit.
  • Showcase knowledge of coffee, beer, and wine selections, offering recommendations and insights based on guest preferences.
  • Mix and present beverages according to established recipes and standards, ensuring consistency and quality with each drink.
  • Maintain a tidy and organized beverage area, including proper storage and rotation of ingredients.
  • Monitor inventory levels and restock supplies as necessary to ensure efficient operations.
  • Process cash and credit transactions accurately, reconciling cash drawers at the end of each shift.
  • Adhere to responsible alcohol service practices, including verifying identification and monitoring guest consumption levels.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure effective communication and coordination of service.
  • Follow all safety and sanitation protocols, including proper handling of food and equipment.
  • Stay updated on current beverage trends and share knowledge with colleagues and guests.
  • Address guest inquiries and concerns professionally, striving to resolve issues to the satisfaction of both the guest and the establishment.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a high-volume café or restaurant setting is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Strong understanding of coffee, beer, and wine.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage positively with guests and colleagues.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, multitasking while maintaining attention to detail.
  • TIPS certification is preferred but can be obtained post-hire.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
