Access Services is looking for compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to become part of our In Home Supports initiative. We offer both full-time and part-time positions with flexible shifts available.
As a Direct Support Professional, you will play a vital role in assisting adults with developmental disabilities and Autism who wish to maintain their independence in a home setting. Your daily efforts will empower individuals to thrive in their chosen environments, enhance their autonomy, and lead fulfilling lives. The primary objective is to deliver exceptional care tailored to each individual's needs. Comprehensive training is provided, so prior experience is not required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities in your designated area. You will engage in creative support through various tasks, activities, and community involvement, either in their homes or their family residences.
- Implement support strategies as specified in each individual's care plan, utilizing approved methods, including safe crisis intervention, emotional assistance, and positive reinforcement.
- Maintain accurate case documentation for the individuals you serve.
- Participate in supervision, training, and ongoing professional development.
Qualifications:
Applicants must fulfill all required qualifications and ongoing job criteria, including background checks, physical assessments, and clearances.
- A high school diploma or GED.
- A valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle during work hours.
- A U.S. driver's license for a minimum of two years (excluding permit time).
- Must be listed as a driver on a valid auto insurance policy.
Compensation and Benefits:
Salary and Scheduling:
- The starting hourly wage is $17, with potential increases based on education and experience.
- Both full-time and part-time DSP roles are available, with schedules tailored to your availability and client requirements.
