About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nursing Unit Manager to join our team at Swedish Health Services. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for the overall management and leadership of a unit or a group of patient care units within our Nursing Services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management: Provide strategic leadership and direction to the nursing team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and achieving operational excellence.
  • Clinical Operations: Oversee the day-to-day clinical operations of the unit, including patient care activities, staffing, and resource allocation.
  • Quality Improvement: Develop and implement unit-based quality improvement programs to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
  • Staff Development: Foster a culture of excellence and continuous learning, providing coaching, mentoring, and training to nursing staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work collaboratively with other departments and stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and coordination of patient care.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited school of nursing, or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) with a commitment to obtain BSN within two years of hire.
  • License: Washington Registered Nurse License upon hire.
  • Certifications: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
  • Experience: 3 years recent experience in a related clinical area of nursing.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's Degree: Master's Degree in Nursing or related field.
  • Leadership Experience: 1 year first-line management experience.
