Mikel, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer to support our on-site team in Newport, RI at NUWCDIVNPT.

About the Role:

We are looking for a talented engineer to provide development, integration, test & evaluation, installation, and ISEA support for Sub-Systems aboard Submarines.

Responsibilities:
  • Tailor and configure software into a product viable for submarines and develop associated load plans and procedures.
  • Develop GFI packages to support the development of ECR's, SHIPALTs, HW and software alterations to Submarine Network systems.
  • Build software installation packages and support onboard installations.
  • Work closely with Ship's Force personnel to train them on the successful administration of the network.
Requirements:
  • 4+ years of professional experience or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
  • Working knowledge and experience of administering Microsoft domains, networks including local and wide area networking.
  • Ability to demonstrate good troubleshooting, oral and written communications skills along with the ability to follow detailed procedures.
  • Familiarity with one or more of the following is desired: Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, SharePoint, Microsoft Hyper-V, VMWare ESX, Crystal Servers, Alcatel/Cisco switches, and Cyber Security.
