ProCare Therapy, a leading educational staffing agency, is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to provide virtual instruction and support to visually impaired students throughout California.

As a Virtual Teacher for the Visually Impaired, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of your students. Your expertise and passion for teaching students with visual impairments will be instrumental in helping them achieve their full potential.

We are looking for a teacher who is not only experienced in working with students who are visually impaired but also has a strong background in adapting curriculum materials and teaching methods to meet the unique needs of each student. Responsibilities:
  • Provide virtual instruction and support to visually impaired students in a school setting
  • Develop and implement individualized educational plans and accommodations to meet students' needs
  • Adapt curriculum materials and teaching methods to support students' learning goals
  • Collaborate with school staff, parents, and other professionals to ensure students' success
  • Conduct virtual assessments and evaluations to monitor students' progress
  • Provide training and support to students, teachers, and caregivers on strategies for supporting students with visual impairments
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Education or Special Education with a focus on visual impairments
  • Certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired
  • Experience working with students who are visually impaired in a school setting
  • Knowledge of assistive technology and resources for students with visual impairments
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Reliable internet connection and technology for virtual instruction
Compensation and Benefits:
  • $65,000 - $85,000 per year, based on candidate experience and qualifications
  • 1099 contract
  • Flexible schedule with the ability to work from home
  • Access to our clinical and technical teams to provide assistance with our remote toolkit and online resources
