Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager Tax Accounting to join our team at Lockheed Martin. As a key member of our finance organization, you will be responsible for leading our Tax Accounting, Forecasting, and External Reporting group.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a team of tax accountants and provide guidance, support, and coordination on all external reporting of income tax matters, quarterly financial reports, and payments.
  • Develop and maintain critical relationships between Tax, Controllers, Treasury, Legal, and Business Units to ensure Tax has a well-informed view of the business operations.
  • Model tax legislation, regulations, and other tax guidance that impact the Corporation's business operations.
  • Manage the federal tax cash forecasting process, including estimated tax payments.
  • Assist with special projects and contribute to the development of tax strategies that support the Corporation's business goals.
Requirements
  • At least 10 years of public accounting firm or large company tax department experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of and experience with tax laws and policies.
  • Advanced knowledge and proficiency with rules governing accounting for income taxes and SARBOX.
  • Demonstrated effectiveness in a leadership role.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • CPA and/or Master Degree in Tax, Accounting, or related discipline.
  • At least 5 years of public accounting firm experience strongly preferred (with majority at Big Four or large public accounting firm).
  • 6+ years experience leading teams.
  • Effective executive presence, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and handle multiple priorities.
  • Knowledge and experience in Mergers & Acquisitions (due diligence & modeling) and Joint Venture activity.
  • Experience with Thomson Reuters OneSource, Oracle, and Corptax.
