Job Description:
Critical Equipment MaintenanceWe manufacture high-performance specialty alloys for demanding markets, and our team of skilled technicians is essential to our success. Your primary duties will include:
- Inspecting mill equipment for defects and determining the best course of action for repair or replacement
- Performing welding and burning operations on plant equipment, buildings, and tools
- Dismantling, cleaning, repairing, replacing, installing, maintaining, assembling, and lubricating mechanical equipment
- Adjusting equipment for proper operating characteristics and making temporary or permanent repairs
- Operating simple machine tools such as drill presses, pipe threaders, power saws, and erecting scaffolds as necessary
- Changing, setting up, and adjusting equipment as required by production schedules
- Reporting any conditions requiring maintenance work and keeping the work area clean, orderly, and safe
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- A High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Direct hands-on experience with stick welding/cutting and oxygen acetylene torches
- Fundamental understanding of mechanical systems and basic knowledge of hydraulics
- Ability to meet company requirements for fall protection
