POSITION SUMMARY
The Warehouse Lead is a detail-oriented planner dedicated to ensuring a safe, efficient, and secure warehouse environment. Key responsibilities include maintaining the facility, overseeing vehicle and equipment upkeep, managing inventory, and coordinating order fulfillment and shipping processes. The Lead will conduct themselves in a professional and ethical manner, striving for complete customer satisfaction with our products and services.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Warehouse Lead will oversee operations, facilities, and personnel at our distribution center:
  • Ensure a clean and organized warehouse, including loading docks and outdoor areas
  • Maintain logs for equipment and vehicle usage
  • Follow established procedures for receiving, handling, storing, and picking merchandise
  • Support recycling initiatives within the company
  • Adhere to inventory documentation protocols, including data entry and barcoding
  • Report any discrepancies in shipping and receiving
  • Implement FIFO inventory control and conduct accurate cycle counts as necessary
  • Manage distressed inventory, including coordinating repairs
  • Foster positive relationships with both internal and external customers
SPECIAL PROJECTS:
Occasionally, the Operations Manager may assign special projects for the Lead to complete or supervise.

RELATIONSHIPS:
The Warehouse Lead will report directly to the Warehouse Manager while also collaborating with the Operations Manager, Retail Store Manager, Controller, and Retail Office Manager to ensure smooth operations. Maintaining professional communication with all department managers is essential for fostering good relationships and ensuring customer satisfaction.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Strong understanding of business practices, point of sale systems, warehousing best practices, logistics, safety regulations, OSHA standards, and proficiency in Excel. Candidates must have at least three years of experience in warehouse/logistics and possess a valid California driver's license. A pre-employment drug test and a criminal background check are required.
