Employment Type: Full-Time
Shift: 7am-7pm or 7pm-7am (Every third weekend and every other holiday)

Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Excellence:
Supervise and guide unlicensed assistive personnel, demonstrating clinical judgment appropriate for the LPN scope of practice, employing problem-solving techniques, and managing time effectively.
Collaboration:
Foster a positive work environment by collaborating with team members to develop initiatives aimed at achieving excellent patient care outcomes. Communicate effectively with all team members, physicians, and ancillary staff.
Delivery of Care:
Adhere to all policies and procedures, guiding team members in compliance. Maintain a safe and hygienic environment, following safety goals and infection prevention protocols.
Performance Standards:
Exhibit UnityPoint Health's values and standards of behavior, while adhering to policies, procedures, and safety guidelines. Ensure regular and reliable attendance to meet departmental needs.
Maintain current licenses and certifications required for the position, and demonstrate knowledge of HIPAA, TJC, DNV, OSHA, and other regulatory standards guiding healthcare.
Qualifications:
Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
Experience: Background in skilled nursing, long-term care, or acute rehabilitation is preferred.
Licensure/Certification: Must hold a current, valid LPN license in Iowa and maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or obtain it within three months of hire.
Skills:
Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking fluent English. Demonstrates multicultural sensitivity and possesses basic Microsoft Office skills. Strong customer and patient focus, along with critical thinking abilities for independent decision-making.
Additional Information:
Familiarity with equipment typically used in the role is required. Occasional travel to other facilities may be necessary, which may involve driving a UnityPoint Health vehicle or personal vehicle for work-related purposes.
