Job Summary

The Senior Power Mechanical Engineer will serve as the technical lead for design execution of power projects up to 200MW. This role will oversee all mechanical project design activities, ensuring the delivery of high-quality designs that meet client requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as the mechanical subject matter expert for power generation projects, including combined cycle and simple cycle power combustion turbines.
  • Supervise and manage assigned mechanical engineers on each project, providing technical guidance, training, and support.
  • Perform calculations, modeling, engineering, and code research as required.
  • Conduct peer review, technical oversight, and quality control of design team's work products.
  • Collaborate with the VP of Group to respond to client issued RFPs and develop bid proposals, contracts, cost estimates, and budgets.
Requirements
  • BS in Engineering
  • Minimum 15 years of professional experience in engineering, particularly in IPP and utility scale combustion turbine plants.
  • Experience in executing multi-discipline projects using Building Information Modeling (BIM) programs or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated experience with GE, Siemens, and/or Solar combustion turbines.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience specifying and integrating industrial frame combustion turbines, natural gas and diesel internal combustion engines, heat recovery equipment, packaged boilers, and balance of plant mechanical equipment.
  • Knowledge of local, state, and national code requirements.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English fluently.
