Project Engineer

At ARCADIS, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Engineer to join our team. As a Project Engineer, you will play a critical role in the coordination and execution of various engineering, construction, purchasing, scheduling, and start-up aspects of a project.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver key documentation required for a best-practice process, including a detailed Project Execution Plan and cost estimate.
  • Determine client requirements and translate them into an actionable plan by a team of workers.
  • Manage the full range of activities associated with the project life cycle: Concept; Basis of Design; Detailed Design; Construction; Commissioning and Qualification.
  • Scope projects and prepare man-hour estimates for proposals.
  • Develop a strong understanding of the project management process, including programming, scope development, design development, implementation, and project closeout.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulations and consider the potential impact of construction and on-time performance on the business.
  • Seek innovative and lean approaches for design, function, and construction.
  • Demonstrate a strong knowledge of Life Science industry standards and design criteria within the engineering industry.

Requirements:

  • Fifth year college or university program certificate; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret business, professional, technical, or governmental documents.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, customers, and the public.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, Video Conferencing Software, Bluebeam, and Procore.
