Job Overview

Konecky Oil Inc. is seeking a skilled Automotive Technician to join our team. As a key member of our repair shop, you will be responsible for performing routine automotive maintenance and mechanical repairs.

Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, and transmission flushes.
  • Conduct extensive diagnostic procedures to determine the sources of customers' vehicle problems and provide accurate repair recommendations.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of current industry best practices in automotive repair and manufacturer training requirements.
  • Perform mechanical repairs, including suspension, steering, driveline, engine diagnostics, EVAP systems, transmission, and engine replacement.
  • Conduct necessary repairs and take vehicles for test drives to verify soundness.
  • Be detail-oriented and keep accurate paperwork for both the customer and for our records.
  • Clean and maintain the work environment.
Requirements
  • Automotive and engine repair experience or auto mechanic training required.
  • Hold a valid driver's license.
  • Graduated from an associate degree program in auto maintenance and repair.
  • Ability to maintain a professional appearance and provide friendly customer service.
  • Must be able to maintain accurate records with detail.
  • High school diploma/GED required.
  • ASE certification a plus.
  • Willingness to participate in in-house training.
  • Ability to operate all auto repair tools.
  • Knowledge of diagnostic tools and equipment a must.
