About the Role

The Marina Attendant plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our rental boat facility. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assisting with the daily maintenance and upkeep of the marina, including the rental boats and surrounding areas.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facility Maintenance: Assist with the day-to-day operation of the marina, including collecting fees, operating cash registers, and issuing fee receipt tickets.
  • Rental Services: Register and assist boaters at the boat launch area, issue rental paddle boats, kayaks, canoes, and other equipment at the boat rental building, and ensure the safe operation of rental equipment.
  • Customer Relations: Greet park visitors, handle inquiries, provide information and assistance, and inform patrons of rules and regulations.
  • Appearance and Maintenance: Maintain the appearance of the marina by cleaning, providing general care of equipment and grounds, emptying trash receptacles, maintaining dock area and marina building, picking up ground trash, weeding landscape beds, etc.
  • Additional Duties: Perform routine maintenance as directed, attend and participate in staff meetings as scheduled, and report unsafe conditions to Park Management.

Requirements

  • Effective Communication: Ability to communicate effectively and courteously with the public.
  • Cash Handling: Ability to operate cash registers and handle cash accurately.
  • Computer Skills: Working knowledge of computers.
  • Swimming Ability: Ability to swim.
  • Lift and Move: Strength and dexterity necessary to perform all required tasks, including ability to lift up to 80 lbs, stooping, bending, and working in tiring and uncomfortable positions.
  • Flexibility: Availability to work a variable work schedule, which may include early and late hours, and weekends and holidays.
  • Uniform Policy: Required to purchase and wear standard uniform.
