About the RoleThis is a unique opportunity to work in a school setting, providing mental health services to students and their families. You will be responsible for assessing the therapeutic needs of clients, creating and reviewing treatment plans, and providing psychotherapy in accordance with the child's treatment plan.
Key Responsibilities- Assess the therapeutic needs of clients and complete formal assessments.
- Create and review client treatment plans.
- Provide psychotherapy in accordance with the child's treatment plan.
- Exercise judgment to intervene as an advocate for clients in emergency and crisis situations.
- Demonstrate knowledge and skill in addressing family system, mental health, parenting, and alcohol/drug issues through individual, family, or group counseling.
- Organize and facilitate structured group, individual and/or family activities.
- Provide consultation to the child's school and school personnel as needed.
- Coordinate services and maintain communication with all service providers involved with the clients.
