About the Role

Atrium Health Charlotte is seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Job Summary

As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a vital role in providing patient care in the surgical suite while maintaining a safe work environment. You will assist in preparing patients, assembling supplies and instruments, and ensuring the sterile field is maintained throughout the procedure.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in obtaining and organizing supplies and instruments prior to, during, and after surgical procedures.
  • Assist the Registered Nurse circulator in preparing patients, assembling supplies, and ensuring proper disposition of specimens.
  • Monitor surgical supplies for sterility and ensure they are used judiciously.
  • Document and submit charges accurately and appropriately.
  • Participate in educational opportunities to increase competency and meet personal needs and goals.
  • Assist in the development of policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Serve as a preceptor and clinical resource to others.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of surgical technology or successful completion of a military training program for Surgical Technology or Operating Room Specialist.
  • 5 years of operating room experience in a surgical technologist role.
  • Current certification as a Surgical Technologist.
What We Offer
  • $50/hour + shift, weekend, and holiday differential.
  • 36 hours per week.
  • 13-week or 26-week assignments.
