Critical Care Nurse

Cynet Health is seeking a highly skilled Critical Care Nurse to join our team in a PACU setting. As a Critical Care Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to patients recovering from anesthesia.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and Implement Patient Care Plans
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop patient care plans that address patient problems, goals, evaluations, and interventions.
- Monitor and Report Patient Symptoms
- Report any symptoms or significant changes in patient condition to the appropriate personnel.
- Coordinate Patient Discharge Planning
- Assess, collaborate, and coordinate patient discharge planning needs and readiness for discharge with other members of the care team.
- Provide Age-Specific Care
- Demonstrate appropriate application of age-specific standards, policies, and procedures in caring for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
- Administer Medications
- Follow age-specific standards in administering medications based on patient age.
- Perform EKG and Interpret Results
- Perform and interpret EKGs and report findings to the physician.
- Provide Patient Education
- Assess patient/family learning needs, abilities, preferences, and readiness to learn.
- Utilize a collaborative interdisciplinary process to provide appropriate patient/family education.
- Utilize available information to evaluate the effectiveness of teaching in producing the desired patient outcomes and make adjustments in teaching as indicated.
- Document Patient Information
- Document all findings appropriately and in a timely manner.
- Communicate with Patients and Families
- Effectively explain the rationale for care provided to patients and/or families, significant others, or legal guardians.
- Education and Experience
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with current licensure in good standing.
- Evidence of current AHA BLS, PALS, and ACLS credential mandatory.
- Evidence of minimum one year of current PACU hospital experience.
