The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is actively seeking board-certified or board-eligible physiatrists with a focus on inpatient care and consultative services. This role involves overseeing a diverse range of patients within our general and medically intricate inpatient rehabilitation service line.
The inpatient service caters to individuals recovering from significant medical interventions, including heart, lung, liver, and kidney transplants, as well as those facing challenges such as limb amputations or prolonged debility from extended hospital stays.
In addition to managing inpatient care, the selected faculty member will play a crucial role in expanding our acute hospital consultative services across multiple facilities. These services are integral components of our residency training programs, providing opportunities to mentor medical students and residents.
Our Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Department is distinguished as the top-ranked in Columbus and holds the 33rd position nationally according to U.S. News & World Report. Furthermore, the Ohio State Dodd Rehabilitation Hospital has been recognized as the leading facility in Ohio by Newsweek. Our residency program is also highly regarded, ranking 20th as per Doximity Residency Navigator.
Qualifications:- MD or DO degree
- Completion of an accredited Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Residency Program
- Board Certification or Eligibility in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation
- Eligibility for an Ohio Medical License
