Job Overview

Position Summary:

The Registered Nurse delivers comprehensive nursing care within the healthcare framework, adhering to the standards set forth by the Nurse Practice Act and relevant regulations. The Registered Nurse is responsible for enhancing the knowledge of both themselves and the patient care team through effective communication and the utilization of available resources.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and guide the delegation of tasks to suitable team members.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare providers to ensure optimal patient care.
  • Set and assess priorities through targeted interventions, aiming for measurable improvements in patient outcomes.
  • Act as an independent practitioner, employing the nursing process to integrate all facets of care.
  • Individualize care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.

Qualifications:

Education:

A Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BA/BS/BSN) is preferred, along with completion of clinical training from an NLN accredited institution.

Experience:

A minimum of one year of experience as a Registered Nurse in an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) is advantageous.

Licensure/Certification:

Must possess a current Registered Nurse License in New Jersey.

Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association is mandatory.

Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification is required upon hire or within the first three months of employment.

National Certification is preferred.


Shift: Night Shift, 7 PM - 7:30 AM
