Job Description

Remote Network Engineer supporting the rollout of new technology for a financial services company. This is a first shift opportunity, but you must be flexible to work in Eastern-Pacific Standard time zones.

The project involves replacing a legacy Cisco iOS router with a Fortinet router, updating SIM cards, and enabling cloud-based technologies similar to SDWAN devices.

As a Remote Network Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Previous Fortinet engineering experience using cloud interface and troubleshooting Fortinet products
  • Router and Switch troubleshooting abilities, including remotely supporting CLI and Cloud experience
  • Ability to write Network Change Documents, review documents, and follow documented processes
  • OSI deep knowledge, specifically 1-3 layers
  • Previous experience engineering deployments with ATM devices
  • Background remotely removing and replacing routers
  • Background supporting and coordinating with SmartHands, onsite technicians for technology refreshes
  • Ability to troubleshoot signal strength, Ping and Trace, UAT test, and remote configuration for new device adds
  • Ability to add external antenna if location services are not permitting SIM card remote access
  • Testing network strengths and solutioning appropriate measures to ensure consistent device connectivity
  • Background writing and updating Network Change Documents, pre-change snapshots, post-change snapshots, and all appropriate field data collection
  • Ability to read, understand, update, and write BOM's, MOP's, SOP's, site to site materials, and scops
  • ATM cellular, SIM, iOS, CATos engineering experience
  • Network device deployment experience, new device loading, cloud-based config technologies - Fortinet Certifications
  • Previous experience working for large financial services companies doing technology deployments
  • Previous ATM deployment background
  • Previous project experience removing Cisco iOS devices and updating to new technologies
