The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out and managing Young Life ministry while holding some area responsibilities. This role requires both formal training and direct field ministry experience to effectively lead teams and individuals in spiritual development.

  • Area Fundraising Events: Learn to plan and execute area fundraising events under the direction of an area supervisor and committee.">

  • Contact Work: Actively engage in all three levels of contact work.">
  • Youth Ministry Planning: Lead a team to plan and conduct a new or existing Young Life club and Campaigners/discipleship ministry with excellence.">
  • Camping Strategy: Lead a team to implement a summer and school-season camping strategy for a ministry.">
  • Campus Ministry: Serve on a summer assignment at a Young Life camp each year.">

Ministry Support - Taking Care of Business

  • YL Policies and Procedures: Adhere to all Young Life policies and procedures, maintaining professionalism regarding office hours, dress, conduct, and time management.">
  • Financial Management: Manage finances with stewardship, accountability, and transparency using mission-wide applications.">
  • Data Management: Maintain accurate information on kids, leaders, and donors for area records.">
  • Communication: Provide clear, prompt, appropriate, and professional communication to everyone involved in ministry.">
  • Strategic Ministry Plan: Set a yearly strategic ministry plan and initiatives to reach every kid; review them regularly.">
  • Ongoing Responsibilities: Perform other duties as assigned and congruent with gifts, experience, and area needs.">

Training and Education:

  • Core Training: Complete Phase One (New Staff Training, Leadership I, Leadership II, Apologetics, and one Winter Training course) in the first two years.">
  • Regional Training: May include regional training meetings and ministry skills training assigned by the area director.">
  • Education: A college degree is preferred.">

In the U.S., the standard base pay range for this role is outlined below. This base pay range applies to locations within the U.S. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance, and location. $34,719.00-$43,451.50
