Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Universal Banker to join our team at Teachers Credit Union. As a key member of our branch staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and financial solutions to our members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Member Service: Maintain a high level of member service in accordance with our Service Expectations, performing a broad variety of member service functions with accuracy and in a timely manner.
  • Cash Handling and Transactions: Perform cash handling, financial transactions, account maintenance, opening new accounts, operating an ITM (Interactive Teller Machine), and supporting MCC (Member Contact Center) with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Confidentiality and Security: Maintain a high level of confidentiality about member account information and adhere to all identified security precautions regarding cash, checks, and account management.
  • Sales and Referrals: Meet or exceed established referral and sales goals by listening for clues in conversations, asking open-ended questions, assisting with product promotions, or referring members to the appropriate partner to address their needs.
  • Outbound Call Efforts: Assist in outbound call efforts by reviewing, updating, and calling on prospect lists, following up with members, and calling on call campaigns regularly.
  • Additional Duties: Assume additional retail functions, including drawer audits, member account maintenance, and vault duties, as assigned by supervisor/manager.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification.
  • Experience: Six months of retail sales and/or cash handling experience or equivalent experience within a financial institution or related field preferred.
