We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Behavioral Health Adolescent Unit. As an LPN at Avera, you will play a vital role in providing individualized care to our patients and their families.

Job Summary:

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides direct patient care to children and adolescents in the Behavioral Health Adolescent Unit. This includes assessing patient needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care.

Responsibilities:
  • Patient Assessment: Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical and emotional needs to identify areas requiring intervention.
  • Care Planning: Develop and implement individualized care plans that address patients' unique needs and goals.
  • Medication Management: Administer medications as prescribed by physicians and monitor patients for potential side effects.
  • Collaboration: Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including psychologists, social workers, and psychiatrists, to ensure comprehensive care.
Requirements:
  • Licensure: Current LPN licensure in the state of employment.
  • Experience: At least 1 year of experience working with children and adolescents in a mental health setting.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree in nursing preferred.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
