Position Summary
The Housekeeping Support Staff plays a crucial role in assisting the housekeeping team to ensure efficient operations. This position is essential in delivering outstanding service to both guests and team members, ensuring a memorable experience during their stay.
Key Responsibilities
- Arrive punctually for all scheduled shifts in the appropriate uniform, including name tags, and maintain a positive demeanor.
- Utilize communication devices and review daily assignments to ensure clarity of tasks.
- Maintain cleanliness in assigned areas, including hallways and guest spaces, by removing trash and debris.
- Assist room attendants by collecting soiled linens and waste from guest rooms.
- Inspect furniture and fixtures for cleanliness and functionality.
- Respond promptly to guest requests and deliver items as needed.
- Conduct thorough cleaning tasks, including vacuuming, dusting, and mopping, to uphold the highest standards of cleanliness.
- Ensure the security of hotel property by adhering to safety protocols.
- Complete special cleaning assignments as directed by management.
- Maintain open communication with the housekeeping team and report any facility issues.
Qualifications
- Minimum of six months of experience in housekeeping or a related field.
- Basic understanding of cleaning equipment and supplies.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Basic proficiency in English is required.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift items frequently throughout the shift.
- Capable of carrying supplies up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable working in various environmental conditions, including indoor and outdoor settings.
Additional Information
Housekeeping Support Staff may be assigned additional tasks as directed by the management team. We are an equal opportunity employer and maintain a drug-free workplace.
Compensation
$20.50 per hour
