About the Role:
In this position, you will be responsible for performing molecular biology experiments, generating phage display libraries, characterizing purified proteins, and maintaining accurate records of experimental data. You will also prepare buffers, reagents, and other materials necessary for experiments, properly label and store all samples, buffers or reagents, and contribute to general lab upkeep.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform molecular biology experiments, including cloning, PCR, and nucleic acid purification
- Generate phage display libraries and perform panning experiments with multiple targets
- Characterize purified proteins using various biochemical techniques
- Accurately record experimental data in a timely manner
- Prepare buffers, reagents, and other materials necessary for experiments
- Properly label and store all samples, buffers or reagents
Requirements:
The ideal candidate should hold a B.S. in a biology-related discipline with 2-4 years of experience in an academic or industry setting. Experience with molecular cloning, DNA primer design, and PCR methodologies, as well as DNA/RNA purification and gel electrophoresis, is essential. Prior experience preparing buffers and reagents, familiarity with basic laboratory equipment, and ability to work independently and interpret data are also required. Good communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills are mandatory.
Benefits:
Eitr offers a competitive annual base compensation ranging from $78,000 to $84,000, subject to certain terms and conditions. The role is eligible for a generous PTO policy, medical, dental, and vision coverage, and up to 6% 401(k) contributions.
